Does anyone know where I can get a knife professionally sharpened (and remove a few dings in the blade) in the Portland (or West Suburbs) area for a reasonable price?

What kind of knife do you have?  Benchmade in Oregon City will sharpen and repair your knife for a small fee.  Also, both Gerber and Kershaw have offices in the area.  Don't know if they offer the same service.

Milwaukie Farmers Market on Sunday has a guy who's done a good job for me 20 times or so at 3-5 bucks a pop depending on how bad the knife was.

The heavy guy who has a table at farmer's markets here on the east side did such a god-awful job on my edc knife I was inspired to buy a Lansky sharpener.  I haven't looked back since.   I used to assume that anyone who would put out a shingle to sharpen other people's knives must be much better than a newbie like me.
