So I just bought a 870 and was wanting to try shooting skeet or trap. I was just wondering were you all would suggest going to. Also whats the difference between the two? I live in the Portland Metro Area.

What part of the state you in?

I'd tell you about places around PDX but that won't help you much if you're in Antelope. BSW

theres a shotgun range out in hillsboro, tri-county gun club has one there, there is another off 170somethingth and powell in p-land (Portland Gun Club maybe?  not 100% sure).  I usually go to the one in hillsboro as its pretty close my house and is pretty cheap.  Plus you don;t have to be a member to shoot there.

Close to Portland, go to the Portland Gun Club they are in the phone book or online, its a no membership arrangement so you just show up with ammo that is for gun clubs, your gun, eyes, and ears and pay $5 for 25 birds.

+1 ...it's a great place.

I have always found skeet a lot more fun than trap, but maybe that's just me. Probably best to just google them.

Alway thought trap was one bird at a time.
