Well, after experiencing LCR I thought we may try a hometown forum shoot/camp overnite shoot.

Location is going to be the hard part.  We have quite alot of members in the state and myself being one who always drives quite a ways for our shoots, I thought that maybe for a new location a more central one may be in order.  This is totally up to everyone here by the way, my opinion is only a suggestion.

Times?  Well, if the shoots work out, then that will be up to everyone.  I do like Cape's reminder of the Enterprise shoot and to not get it too close to that.

Some ideas and thoughts on the location.  An area obviousley easy to get to, keeping in mind road conditions and the vehicles driving on the road.  An area that is large and open enough to host one of our shoots, yet keep a space open enough to camp in.
Private vs Public will only be an issue during fire season.  Most private land owners shut thier land down completley during fire season while public ground is open with strict regulations.  Just to keep in mind.

So, if this gets enough participation here is what I will do.  I will find something to donate, wether it be a gift cert to a site vendor, site membership or something donated by a site vendor to the winner.  But, before we get to that point, we will take the offered up suggestions (hopefully with pictures) and start a new thread with a poll, for everyone to vote on.

Central part of the state, in my opinion, for population and travel ease is pretty much the are from Bend SW to Eugene, North to Salem and back to Bend.  Please don't limit your location ideas to just that though, any good location that will fit what we need to pull this off is good.

This can be an ongoing thing, or if it doesn't get enough interest we'll just ditch the idea as a whole.  In my short time here, I have seen this come up a few times already, so maybe we can stick with this?

For most of us, it's gonna be hard to go scout that far away.  So the rest of us will rely on those of you who frequent such areas that might work for this, or have heard of such a place.  Those of us who hunt, keep your eyes peeled while your out in the woods for an area that will fit.

EK, maybe.  If Bend or Ghostring ever come in here, they would be the ones to check that out.

I also remember a few pits out Camp Sherman way, I think on Forest Service land.

The areas south and east of the ones already posted along Hwy 20 wouldn't be that bad.
