Flying into Portland tonight then, driving up Thursay.

Anywhere to AR/Pistol shoot in the area?

Good resturants?

Thanks!

Oh, and they filmed The Goonies and Kindergarten Cop there.

Sorry, I've never done any shooting at the coast.  Oh, I hate sea food, so I can't help you with the restaurants either

But you should probably check out Astoria Tower if you get a chance and the skies are clear.

Oh, and how can I forget!? You should check out Ft. Stevens, which is near by.

I haven't spent a lot of time in Astoria to know what restaurants or places to shoot. However, the forest isn't far out of town.

Hope this helps.

Worlds longest beach is close by....  I think it's called... let me see... oh yeah, LONG BEACH.  I also think the longest floating bridge is around there.  Fastest speeding ticket given in Oregon was issued to a "High Roller" going across it.  OSP clocked him at 147, I think.  So when you pick up your car at Avis, make sure you spring for the V6 and top it off with 92 octane and let er rip!!

I could be wrong on all the above.  Too much peyote and such...

A place called the Ship Inn is a good place for the seafood.
And don't forget Anne's the one and only strip club.

I've never been there but heard it's pretty nasty.

dude don't send him to Annies!! Skip it! Hit a club in Portland on your way back. I was told Portland has the most strip clubs per capita then anywhere else in the USA.

Go for a drive on the beach. If you go south of Astoria about 6mi you'll get to the Sunset beach access and can drive for about 10miles on the beach. most passenger cars will do just fine on to too. Drive right up to the shipwreck of the Peter Iredale.

Fort Clatsop is cool, it burned down and is in the process of being rebuilt but the visitor center is worth a walk thru. Lewis and Clark are big names in the area....

I was with the client today, and, we drove past it.

I started laughing and, he looked at me with a "WTF" look
on his face.  I was like;

"Oh, Annies.  I was told it's the towns strip joint."

He chuckles

"Yeah, I've never been in there, but, I want to, just becuase how much of a dive I heard it is."

I grew up in a eastside town, almost JUST like this.

The women age rapidly.

You have to get them young and, get them out.

I wasn't commenting on Oregon Women in general, simply
the ones i've seen here in the Astoria area.

I dunno.  Maybe Portland is better but the pickens seem slim compaired to when I lived in Arizona and Texas.
