GS10

Do you know if they specialize in any niche, like handguns, or target shooters, black powder, etc.  Or, are they just doing a little bit of everything?

Gotta check it out, too bad it's so close to Hooter's, you know, with the children and all.

Did we talk about this shops owner at the last gunshow? If so I will be sure to stop in.
Thanks for the update!

Gentleman, I think this will be a nice breath of fresh air to the area.

Yes its the same Guy, Chris he had the tree thing happen to his house,  so he just moved the shop to a retail spot. He was planning on opening one anyway, the tree just moved it up a little. As for nitches, he is pretty much anything and everything. He will definetly get anything you need. Im trying to get him to get alot more ar parts, pluse a whole lot of reloading stuff. The only thing now is the space is about 5x as big as where he was, so he is getting his inventory up. He is definitly in it for the long haul.

I'm glad he finally moved to a real shop.  His old shop/house was close to my office, but he didn't have any room to expand.

Here's the URL:

www.dualsmokinggunns.com/default.asp

The owner seems to be a good guy, and he had some EBR stuff at his old shop.

Stopped by today to check out the new shop and check on an order.  He's got plenty of room to expand now.  In talking with him it sounds like he's planning taking advantage of the extra room too.  Hopefully he starts bringing Jack with him.  Nothing better than a gun shop with a dog.

Yo anarx, let me know the details on lowers form DSG.

On another note, I am thrilled that a local shop has a website with product information and ordering capabilities!!!

I stopped by there shop today and they are still getting it set up.  They have a long way to go to get everything stocked & set up, but they are very nice guys.  I am really happy to see a gun store on the west side of town, and I hope they are successful.

I will be stopping by in a couple of weeks to see the progress, and help support them.

BTW a couple of doors down from them is the Washington County Democratic headquarters.  Poetic justic!

He joined Tri county gun club the same night I did.  Good guy.  He has a ton of holsters and other gear already set up.  The gun selection is kind of thin, but I am sure in time his inventory will expand.
About 25 rifles and 25 pistols.
And yes he has several AKs,ARs and Calico rifles.
I see spending some cash there in the future.

I like it!  After I finish shopping,  I will pay my respects to the Demo/Socialists
and if anyone bitches, I will give them the age old adage

More Guns, Less Demos!

If I understand/remember correctly, I believe Chris purchased the entire Calico operation about 3-4 months ago.  You now have a very local source for all of your Calico needs.

Makes me sad to think Jack isn't at the new shop yet.  That poor dog has got to be depressed as all get out, but with all the barking and howling somehow I don't think the new neighbors are interested in how depressed the dog is.

That store is a little hard to find -- hopefully they'll put up a sign, unless they are trying to keep a low profile.  I came after they closed, but I noticed the Democratic Headquarters was still open and almost felt like stopping and asking them if they knew where the new gun shop was.

Anyone know what they charge for a transfer?

I went in on Friday of last week, to check it out. Great guys working in there, and a cool dog too (if you don't mind the wet tennis ball that he want you to throw every 5 seconds)  Looks like the shop is coming along nicely.  When the owner asked how I had heard about the shop I told him I had heard about it on AR15.com

I just called but it was busy.  I went to their webside (dsg) and sent an email inquiring about a Tac.Sol. Pac Lite.  Will be interesting to see what they come back with.
