Funny thing about the first few diapers is.. it looks like black sludge but has no odor.

Yup, the meconium has already come and gone. She's well into the grainy mustard stage now and rapidly gaining weight.
It was a bit of shock going back to her brother. Changing just her diapers for a few days and then suddenly changing an 18-month-old. Damn, he's gotten big on me. :) Thanks all. |

Oh, that's nothing. She only dropped to 8-6, was at 8-11 when we left the hospital, and was at 9-2 yesterday. She surpassed her birth weight in less than a week. I'm thinking about selling Wendy's breast milk to some pharma and muscle building companies. Oh, and don't worry Gunkata. You won't have to worry about babies until you actually have sex. With a woman. That's not plastic. |

 It's weird though. Once you have kids, diaper talk seems beyond ordinary, it's almost odd if you don't talk about it. |

 I don't care who you are, that's funny right there.  Congrats on the new edition to your family. 8lbs. 15ozs., good size kid that's for sure. Before you know it, she'll be into everything and everywhere exploring her new world.
