outside my back door this morning. If this rain doesn't stop it will be under my house before much longer. It's already flooded the lower barn and has come across the driveway to my husband's shop. The news last night said at least 3 inches more in the next 2 days. Anyone have a little boat?

Yes, I have a 11ft drift boat. Do really think you would need one?

no I was j/k   actually we do have a boat..... it's the only thing at this point that doesn't have water under it. Hubby just went to drive up the highway and says a few houses on our side have water up to their foundations. It is so weird to look out the back door and see a fast moving river all the way across our back yard.

And Peta...... I'll have Smirnoff in my raft

We're at near flood levels here too, which is unheard of.  I heard on the radio that 15" is expected over night.  Can that be true?

Shit, just take a look at my basement.  Fucking rain drain backed up, driving water into the basement.  Probably an inch by now.

I went to the Sea Scout Base and helped "appropriated" a bilge pump.  Have it sucking from the problem drain, and discharging to the street.  We'll see how it holds up when the rain starts again.

Fingers crossed...

I've actually done that. Sailed a little slower, but DAMN was it hard to get out of the water with an extra 400-600 pounds of water inside the hulls.

Double hulled fiberglass boat. Outer hull, inner hull....

And yes, I've sailed beach cats (not cruisers). Holy crap they're fun.

I thought it was funny.  What can I say, my minds always a bit south of the border.
