Just wondering if anyone here is going to the SHOT Show. I have an FFL buddy who might be able to hook me up with a pass, but I wanted to know if anyone else was going. I could chip in on hotel accomodations, gas money, etc...
Besides, I'm sure the show is kick-ass, but being there alone would be kinda strange. What if I got lost in all those guns? |
Can I get in on that? You flying or driving? |
Not this year...
Liver still recovering from last If you have never been it is sensory overload to the max. I would suggest, if you want to see the whole show, to go at least three days. Last year we walking around from just about open to close on Saturday and Sunday and didn't get to everything. Luckily it was almost free to stay the Monday and we got to check out the stuff we missed. |
I might need someone to split a room with. Do you plan on going all 4 days? I was thinking of leaving Wednesday night to fly down. I would return on Monday morning. I will get a little more info. Someone else was going to look into the accomodations to see if they only had two bed rooms or some suites with a couch or something.
Anyway, shoot me an email and we can work out the details. |
Just thinking about it at this point. Basically, I would plan to leave PDX on Thursday afternoon/evening and be back on Sunday night. ( I have classes Thursday until 1 PM) I have no problem sleeping on a couch if I have to. I'll get in contact with my FFL to see about getting registered. |
I know you have a computer... Got a printer? Unless they changes things from last year they will almost take a note from your mom for credentials. Print out a gun related business card and send it in with your money and its done.... |
I'm going for business WS4LIF is tagging along for fun. I know I will be there for at least 2 days, and I will be flying.
I'm going for the chicks....... |
I would go, but I know there will be Glocks there |
I would go if WS4LIF was staying home and HotPink was going |
You gonna be her maid? Bellboy? Cabana boy? Personal massuse? Stow away? She did post that she hoped that she would take it to the next level with her S/O, wonder if WS4LIF has met him yet? |
I hear he's asian! |
I'm sure I will have no problem getting a badge. |
Damn right! I plan on getting my picture taken with the Gunny and the GlocK Carbine. |
Shit I thought this was a "guys only" trip. Might have to drag my g/f along... |
That's right what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas unless you are up for some juicy story telling, maybe WS4LIF can let you in on.having

This guy is reserving a tables for a AR15.com get together at a restaraunt in LV. Sounds fun. |
Say "Hi" to Wolfpack for me, when you get there. Hook up with him in the Nevada Forum. He normally works to get some people together at the 777 brew pub, in Main Street Station. Also, last year, many people got together for lunch at "Quarks" in the Hilton.
Wish I could make it this year, all I would have to do is drive or fly down. But I can't get the time off from work. Edited to add: I reall guess I shoud read the whole thread, before I post. I should have figured Wolpack would have already posted something somewhere. |
You keep forgetting to mention I will be there with you. |
Wonder if I'll need a white and black striped shirt for those few days down there |
I ended up finding someone to share a room with. If anyone is still looking to go it is probably not too late but the flights will probably fill up in short order.
Here is a cross-post of the WA Hometown SHOT show thread in case anyone still needs to find someone to split the cost of a room: www.ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=8&f=15&t=219589 |

I had this shirt in my hand the other day to buy Peta. I guess we think alike!!!! |
Just got my guest pass registered with the airline. I'll be flying standby, but the tickets were $60 bucks. It's good to know people in the airline industry...
Damn, I don't know if I could handle the SHOT show. It's hard enough browsing these forums on a college budget. If I went to this expo I'd probably be walking around in tears, then leave trying to figure out how quickly I could complete my degree and start making money.
Ah shit! Here's my deal: I'm flying standby, but all the flights out of Vegas on Sunday are overbooked. I can definitely get to Vegas, but getting back before Monday ('cause I have school)will be a gamble. How's that for irony?
Shall I risk getting stranded there? |
Umm...your skrewed And if you don't go, damnit, my room costs just went up! Got a thumb you can use? |
Ah screw it. I'm going anyway. Been waiting too long to just stay home. Besides, I'm already out a whopping $85 for plane tickets and registration... |
Where is you fellers lodging? |
I think WS has us staying at the stratosphere???? (sp) Maybe a cardboard box outside the convention center too, who knows |
Sweet. Ignore the stupid roller coaster, but make sure to do the "chair launching thingy" at night. It's a rush. |
<adds "chair launching thingy" to list of things to do in vegas> |
Besides, I'll need someone else to keep an eye out on Peta for me |
Nurse B I will certainly keep the guys in check. I will keep close watch and make sure your husband comes home to you in one piece.
Mod or no mod, he's MY sidekick. Peta, what's it gonna be? Should I call you Robin or Goose? Possibly Tonto? You strike me more as a Silent Bob... |
Silent bob eh? Nothing with the term bob or neal will be used as my sidekick name |
Ben Dover? |
