My wife found out on Friday that she is pregnant (first), so I will be a father around last week in April. Nice thing about teaching a youngster everything I know, is that it won't take very long.

Congrats!!!!!!

As the father of a 10 month old.....(our 1st).......all I can say is your life will change in every way imaginable.
My only words of advice........practice sleep deprivation now, as the first two to three months you won't get ANY sleep. There is no such thing as helping too much.......your wife will appreciate every bit of it!

As a wierd side note......everyone and their mother will come out of the woodwork to offer you baby clothes/stuff. At first I was kinda wierded out by so many people wanting to give stuff away to me..(think bad swap meet)....what I've come to appreciate is how much stuff that little one really needs! The less stuff you have to buy, the better, as it will take up valuable time to go buy things. Not that you won't, but trust me, after your first trip to Babies R Us the sticker shock will make you think twice about the free stuff.

congrats again!!

Thank you for all the congradulations. This is definately going to be a learning experience for the both of us-hope we're up to the the task. Also wish my dad had not just died, as he won't be seeing his grandchild.

Congratulations on the Bambino - the only important thing I've ever done in my life is raise 3 girls.
Sorry to hear about your Dad.
