WTF? Do you have to go to gas pumping skul and get a cert to be a gas jockey? The gas jockey always acts like he is going to get run off if he lets a motorist pump his own gas.

Whatss up with this law?

It's the same price wether I pump it or not. Why not?

I think its to employ more people. Backdoor socialism if you will. Whats bad is when I am going back to my truck after buying a soda and some woman from Oregon asks me to open her gas tank for her. She din't know how

BTW, near as I can tell, its more expensive. Cause we have one of the worst gas taxes and you're still paying more down there, at least when I drove through.

I am all for letting someone else pump my gas if I have a choice and its the same price. But in Oregon, you do not have a choice. I was just wondering why you dont have a choice.

Well, it's been awhile since this has been hashed out but if I remember correctly - It's for the children. We Orygonians are not thought of too highly by our masters. They think we will blow ourselves up - then when it has come up in a vote, the liberals start playing the "all gas station attendents are going to starve" card.

I use a card lock for work. Supposedly it requires yearly training. The training consists of reading a pamphlet about not smoking while fueling/shut off engine/etc., etc. I haven't seen one in 4 or 5 years. I hope I don't blow myself up tomorrow

It's a "right to work" law. Enacted at one time or another to get more jobs. Now it just gives dopers a free look into your car so they can decide what they want to steal later.

WTF, Oregon is a partial right to starve work state?

They must have learned it from New Jersey. Is there a "no English" clause for gas jockeys in Oregon too?

I think SC should let the government babies cut grass for us who work. I went to OR once, and the attendant nearly flipped out when I grabbed the gas pump. I thought all the commies were in CA. Guess not.

Oh no. We unfortunately are "blessed" with more than our fair share here, too. Want some?
