I'm not sure how many of you are runners, but if any of you are running in Hood to Coast this week, good luck!

I'm running with some friends in my church, and I'm running legs 7, 19, and 31.  That means I'll start the race in Sandy.  Now, I know there's some AR15.com folk in Sandy, so come out to the exchange to cheer us on!

My other legs are just west of Saint Helens and somewhere in the Coast Range.

And, if you're interested, here are the maps for the legs I'm running:
Leg 7:  www.hoodtocoast.com/htc/course/legs/7.asp
Leg 19:  www.hoodtocoast.com/htc/course/legs/19.asp
Leg 31:  www.hoodtocoast.com/htc/course/legs/31.asp

I will be operating an amature radio station at station 30 both days.  from 08:00 to 16:00 or so.

Maybe see ya there!

Thanks a bunch, guys!  I leave for Sandy in about two hours.

We're estimated to get to leg 30 around 10AM on Saturday, so I *might* be asleep (sleep is good if you're gonna run 15 miles).  I'm estimated to start leg 31 at 10:30AM, but that's 5 1/2 miles past station 30.  So I might wave as the van drives past the point, but I likely won't be getting out and saying "hi."

Anyway, here's how I did.  Not great, but not too bad, either:

Leg 7, 5.65 miles, rated "Hard":  47m24s, average pace 8:23 per mile.
Leg 19, 5.7 miles, rated "Very Hard":  51m38s, average pace 9:04 per mile.
Leg 31, 4.1 miles, rated "Moderate":  30m27s, average pace 7:26 per mile.

Overall:  15.45 miles, 2h9m29s, average pace 8:23 per mile.

In my opinion, the final leg was the hardest, the middle "Very Hard" leg was the easiest.
