I dont know if anyone else has been to this event, but it is FUN. We usually go early (3 or 4pm and go buy a bunch of sausages and toss em in a cooler in the truck and then head out to the beer garden (at the gun range!) They have 5 or 6 bonfires blazing to keep you warm and happy while getting blitzed on cheap beer and wine. This is REALLY a good time. It is tradition to wear the strangest hat you can find-I am debating on the furry bomber hat or the condom hat for this years event. The sausage festival is always held on the first Saturday in November. There is arts/crafts and raffles, bingo etc to keep everyone happy. There is an all you can eat sausage dinner (with sourkraut, mashed taters, rolls, pie, and non alcoholic beverages) for 13 or 14 bucks.
If you can show up look for the lunatic in shorts with a beer in each hand at the beer garden.
