You can actually thank the scientifically ignorant on global warming and the signing on to the Paris Agreement  for global warming.

The Paris Agreement requires a certain "ESL" score (Environmental Social Score) for financial credit - Yes its about the money!
Companies can garnish easy corporate value and financial scoring by just putting some words out there about whatever social issue is required.  Its not about the environment - Yes plant some trees while your company pushes out rare-earth bearing toxic phones designed to fail two years after you buy it.
Your parents old rotary phone had a much smaller environmental footprint - it lasted 30+ years without replacing.

Before COVID, Global Warming was the  primary fear-based motivator of the socialist engineers.

You can't get people to agree to the actual requirements so they have to wrap it up with something technical that people won't understand but fear (like global warming or a pandemic)

As you might have figured (but many gullible and ignorant Americans did not) who were so worried about the end of the earth from global warming - The US quickly adopted this as nearly issue one of the new administration.  

If you believe in global warming as a serious immediate issue or have concerns about it - you are part of the problem - Your ignorance caused this as you traded "safety" from the issue for socialism.

It is socialism by Stalin's handbook.  Part of the need for national government run socialism is convincing people that they need the larger government to step in and fix certain agencies.

Stalin paid "agent provocateurs" to cause trouble and ultimately discredit and remove people's faith to "local" police and certain parts of military forces.

Frankly I can see this whole Afghanistan scenario as part of an effort to undermine people's faith in the traditional military.

Re-adjust police and military to meet the needs of the national interest of socialism is part of a well played handbook - They know what they are doing.

Don’t know if you did computer work or what for them or boots on the ground type stuff but maybe you should look into the power companies in your area.

I work at a North GA EMC (Sawnee EMC) and we have every type of job that regularly comes open from call center work, IT work and ROW/Line Tech jobs.

Georgia Power might be ok too but I think it’s more laid back at most EMCs.

Pay scale is similar at the top EMCs (Cobb, Jackson, Sawnee) and GP

Friend of mine just took a management job with Verizon. He's had a heart attack, cancer and the 'rona. He's a tough one to kill. Not sure if he's been jabbed or not.

I'm waiting to see what happens with my employer, and the legal challenges. I just got a promo and raise. This is the highest paid year of my career. I have about 85K in stock that will vest over the next 3 1/2 years. Gonna seriously hurt to leave that behind. If every medium to large company is being blackmailed by President Potato and the Feds, where do we find the next gig?

Someone needs to start an online database of businesses who refuse to bow down to Joe Talibiden and his handlers for all the folks pushed out of their jobs by this crap.  

Hell, just among nurses, various hospital staff and others in the healthcare industry around the country you're already at hundreds of thousands of workers.  That's just one segment of the workforce.

Hopefully common sense prevails and the extremists are forced back into the dark dusty corners from which they came.  I don't have a lot of confidence in that though.

Just remember, force them to FIRE you......keep showing up and doing work until they walk you to the door.

Got an email from my VP last night saying that legal and HR are reviewing Pres Potato's EO about gov't contractors to determine whether we fall under that category or not. For sure some people are, because they are read into specific contracts, but others like me are not. We do support the people who are read onto the contracts.

My employer has ~75K employees around the world, so not sure if they're going to say all US employees, or just employees in certain departments, or just those read onto .gov contracts. My old team has 5 openings, so if they're not included, I will probably try and jump back over there. It kinda screws my current department who just promoted me, gave me the stock, and have spent about $30K training me over the last 3 or so years.

I ran into a friend from High School today at my local 5 Guys. He works in Finance for Coke, and he said they're going through the same thing since they supply products to the .gov.

We had an all hands video meeting yesterday, which I missed. I watched the replay today. Our legal and HR are trying to interpret potato-speak into company policy regarding Executive Order 14042. Our head HR person said they think ~91% of our employees have been jabbed, which does not surprise me. Waiting to hear what groups the legal and HR folks say are affected.

I'm positive my job is going to be affected by the Potato's EO since we are smack dab in the middle of trying to figure out our response to CMMC. I applied for a religious accommodation today. A good friend was granted one already, but he's probably screwed because he's cleared and read onto specific contracts. At least one of the customers who sponsors his clearance isn't accepting any exceptions or accommodations. I may be OK if my company accepts my religious accommodation since I'm not on any specific contracts, or I might be able to move to another group that is unaffected.

I've been talking with some friends about a business opportunity, so this may be the time to go after it. My employer might give us a nice package to fuck off, and not sue them due to the Potato mandate. If that happens, it could be the thing we need to make a go of this opportunity. We may also do it on the side between now and December 8th to see how far we can get. I'm waiting to hear back from one of the guys.
