I think it is underrated. growing up i read all the books about mars, venus and pellucidar. my favorites was all the at the earth's core stuff, hollow earth. his mars stuff was good, carson of venus. i always wanted one of those martian flying boat things. tarzan was ok, but i preferred the off and inner world stuff. |

I agree, China is the biggest threat to the US by far. They have one goal and one goal only, which is to destroy America so they can spread the failed communist ideology. They do everything in their power to undermine us. Never forget they are our avowed enemy. They don't deny it so why would we? |

They don't deny it so why would we? is china a threat to the us? yes. is it because they want to spread communisim? no. its about competition of scarce resources in an ever shrinking world. they want to dominate and control their part of the pacific (trade and shipping routes) and control as much of africa as possible to have access to that continents natural resources. and where they can, get footholds worldwide in much of the third world. its the same thing as always with nations seeking economic advantage. its important to view the problems with china in this light and not in the light of 'spreading communision'. frankly i think it is better to consider china as a totalitarian nation, rather than a communist one. communism has failed everywhere it has be implemented. i suspect even the chinese realize this based on their experience coming out of the cultural revolution and moving into the current era where the emphasis is on growth of its industrial base and the growing appetite for raw materials. |

The thing about communism, totalitarianism or whatever variation these people choose, is that it doesn't matter if it's failed every single time to them. It's the perfect system for wealthy, power hungry megalomaniacs to increase or at least maintain their status. Any kind of democracy brings with it the opportunity for them to be removed from their perch.
Spreading communism, failed as it may be, is the route to increased power, wealth and keeping it all for themselves. It's ok that it's a failed system because even if the people suffer, the leaders get to live large. If China could facilitate the fall of America there is nobody left who could stop them. The combination of China, Russia alone could easily accomplish the world domination envisioned by every nut job from Hitler to Xi Jinping. |
