Brian Kemp will go down as the Governor that lost Georgia to the Democrats. I hope that the Republican Party as a whole understands what they lost this election.

Kemp is complete fucking idiot and is now wounded and basically Stacie Abrams bitch.

OK.   Except, Kemp did his part, he won his election.    Donald, David, and Kelly didn't.

Trump killed Perdue and Loeffler's chances with his amateur legal efforts, inability to document voter fraud, stomping of his feet, and lashing out at Raffensperger and Kemp who have very very limited powers.

Layer on the the volume of calls directed at Republicans and it's no wonder they lost.  My phone was ringing every 15 minutes yesterday and my voice mail was filled up.    I even got calls  thanking me for voting.   Very annoying and demotivating.

I'm sad but not really surprised.    I'll predict in 2 years Kemp and Raffensperger will easily win re-election now that Trump is off the scene.

Warnock is up for re-election then as well.   If Doug Collins thinks he can win, there is his chance.

Kemp did nothing. His first mistake was putting Loeffler in office over Doug Collins. Trump did not kill Loeffler and Perdue's chances, they were bad candidates to begin with. Perdue would not debate and both Loeffler and Perdue had no message or platform.

Kemp and Reffensperger are done. The democrats flipped the senate seats and they will flip the governorship. What does Kemp have to run other than being a complete idiot. What has he done for Georgia since he has been elected other than give the teachers a $5,000 dollar raise and cut every state agency budget to the point where its hard for those agencies to run efficiently. Ask me how I know.

The republican party is out of touch with their base. Trump tried to tell them that but they did not listen, they just want things to go back to the way they used to be a defeatist party with no ideas and no message.

We deserved this, and we will pay for it rightly so

The Republican party needs to get a message and a platform. We don't have one and we also not united either. Another problem with our party is that we cannot compete with "FREE SHIT." The democrats keep telling "we gonna give you this and we gonna give you that, we gonna forgive your student loan and then give you money on top of that." That's what the democrats preach

What do we preach?.............Uh personal responsibility, uh tax cuts and less taxes and more money in your pocket. That is long term. We live in a what can you do for me right now world and most of the people in this country want the "free shit." Until we can come up with a message that can compete with "Free Shit" we are fucked.

Republican voters are not lazy. We are just tired of weak, RINO candidates being shoved down our throats.
Yes democrat voters get behind their candidates and do a much better job of getting out the vote.

the problem that happened with this election is that the republicans took all this for granted. Stacie Abrams did her homework and she along with the democratic party figured out a way to win. Why can't we do that? We've let counties that were Red go blue and we just write them off. If you look at the map of Georgia it is still red just not in the places that matter and our leadership refuses to think anything is wrong.

And anybody that thinks Kemp will win in a landslide in two years is foolish thinking.

Simply repeating "my opponent is a radica/liberal/socialist" is not a platform.

Tell us WHY we should vote for you. What have you done? What will you do? What do you believe? Do you have any thoughts of your own, or are you simply a parrot?

The Democrats had better commercials, where they appeared to address the voters directly. They didn't need to use "scare tactics" to win votes.

They are lazy. In the county I grew up in there are 37K registered voters. The county votes 80% Republican.

In the general election only 22K votes were cast meaning 15K didn't vote. Based on the percentage that means 12K Republicans didn't vote.....in a single county. Multiply that over all 159 counties in the state and that is a big number that didn't get off their ass and go vote.

The bold part of your statement above proves my point. Democrats will get behind whatever candidate is presented no matter what the issues are. Loeffler wouldn't be in a runoff if Doug Collins hadn't got into the race.

Loeffler's would have gone to a runoff, there were at least 17 people in that race and Warnock had the most votes in the first election. The thing that killed Loeffler and Perdue was the stock thing that happened in February and of course the media pounced on that and I really think that they were just bad candidates to begin with. I think Doug Collins would have faired better. But that's all water under the bridge now. we are stuck with Warnock and the other guy. I do agree that we have to get away from scare tactics and start appealing to the voters. Warnock had a very good media campaign.

Doug Collins killed Loeffler's chances.  The election was to fill two years of a vacant seat.  Collins could have waited for the full term in 2022 and still retained his house seat until then.

And then I see a poll that shows Collins as the republican leader for the 2022 governors race.  It doesn't matter who the republican leader is because Collins has helped destroy the republicans chances because of his arrogance which will lead to a Governor Abrams in 2022. To many in the swamp gave Collins continuous admiration which inflated his ego in the last two years leading to this disaster.

Who do I blame? I definitely blame Georgia conservatives who didn't go out and vote. They should be ashamed of themselves. But, we all know that liberals can't win without cheating. They can't win without telling black voters that whites are all hitler's and white supremacists. Many black voters voted for revenge. Most probably had no idea who this candidate was. Many white liberals voted for revenge.  The liberal candidates could have been child molesters and they would've voted for them. That's a difference between the left and the right.

You think it's bad now? Just wait.  Mark my words. You will see the left come after conservatives for pure revenge. Sites like this one, they will try to close down. I guarantee you they will try to shut down parlor.  We haven't seen censorship yet like we will see in the next four years.  Our first amendment rights and our Second Amendment rights are fucked.

The Atl Metro area makes up roughly 60% of Georgia's population, and it’s increasing daily. If you don't appeal to the residents of the larger cities, you're simply not going to win.

I agree to some point. Yes some republicans voters are lazy. I still think that Loeffler and Perdue were bad candidates to begin with. Republicans can no longer depend on scare tactics to win elections, they have to at least run on some platform which they didn't do.

Another thing that hurts republicans is that all the major population areas are democrat controlled. Republicans have made no effort to even try to turn those red hence why they are defeatist party, but they still want our money so they can stop the democrat agenda. At least they have one. Republicans don't.

republicans have a few hurdles right out of the gate. Traditionally they are the party of "take your medicine." No one wants to be responsible for their own actions, and classical liberalism (what republicanism wants to be) is very much about self ownership.

Second is they love to hang on to this good ole boy club thing.

Third they cant get the fuck out of individuals private lives. Gay marriage shouldnt be a thing because government should not be involved in marriage period, not because of social conservatism.

If the republicans rebranded themselves into a classical liberal party, fiscally responsible (which they arent now) and kept government out of individual life choices (small government, remember) then they would resonate much better. Maybe, just maybe they'd start presenting candidates people can get excited to show up and vote for, and not slog in to strategically vote because the other guy is incrementally worse.

But when they keep running a wealthy, bible holding, big government, swamp creature, this is what we get.

No republican voters are not lazy .     But Georgia republican politicians are .  Very much so .

What in the hell have they done in the past few years to advance Georgia  ?  Nothing .   Has anyone heard them take a stand against anything .  Or for anything ?  I have not

Have any of them responded with any force or knowledge regarding the shutdowns we are suffering with at this time ?  NO .  Have they taken any stand that would be unpleasant but would be what the citizens need and want to hear ? NO.

Democrats close ranks when attacked .  Republicans when attacked they throw rank and file under the bus .   Each other and us.  If they where Football coaches this would be their last season .  Hell of a lot more losses than wins .  Actually what wins ?

Could say more but why bother ?

This. I watched the Warnock / Loeffler debate after the general election. That was the first time I heard her speak. I told my wife that I regretted voting for her in the general.
When deciding who to vote for between her and Collins I looked at voting records. She voted with Trump dang near every time. So she got my vote. I wish I could get that vote back.
I voted for her in the runoff bit I sure didn't want to.

The only reason Abrams didn't get elected two years ago is that more people voted against her than voted for Kemp.
That won't happen in 2022. Kemp has pissed off everybody and the republican party needs to understand that and they either need to get a new candidate that can turn this around, and start making inroads to minority community, which they will do neither because they will throw all their support behind Kemp, who I hope gets beat in the primary.

All water under the bridge now and the bridge is on fire...

Maybe you folks need to think about what now because "what if" has already happened. Life for the have-nots is not going to measurably change but that's probably not going to be the case for everybody else. Those of you wanting to be able to defend and express yourself and/or have any religious affiliation will be the first to notice the change...or then again maybe not. Just another opinion based on observation of the promises made by those who have seized power. Oh and by the way, we're 07/02 SOT and have another engraving machine on the way so we can help facilitate the "Great NFA Expansion" that"s been talked about by the incoming administration. Unfortunately I won't be much of a help after the $200 transfer tax of 1934 has been adjusted to the current 2021 dollar

My track record is shaken lately.   Back in late 2019, I couldn't see how Trump could lose.    And as late as mid-December, I couldn't see how Perdue would lose to Ossoff (incumbents never lose).  Kelly I wasn't sure about since the Democrats were running a modern day image of Dr. King.

I think it definitely had an impact on the election, but his approval numbers were never great. His ratings were lower than any past US President, from at least 1942 on. If we take the coronavirus out of the equation, he may have won in 2020, but it would've been a much closer race.

I believe they had been planning this since the day after the election in 2016.

The problem now is, where do we go from here? We have seen that our elected leaders hate us, and there are 75+ million people pissed off.
I don't know the answer but we have to have some type of leadership that can rally all these people together into a movement.

The problem is the republican party at a management level. The party hated Trump but wanted his voters. He turned out people. People have forgotten that Georgia was a moderate democrat state for the past 120 years and 2 of the past 3 republican governors were originally democrats. The problem will be when it swings back to democrat is will swing to socialist democrat instead of moderate.

The republicans ran horrible ads and told you nothing. Warnock of the four running ran the best ads. The ads are your only real chance to sway voters. Perdue should have tried harder in the first election and not had the second. Perdue seemed less than excited to be running for office. Also fraud has to be addressed.  Voter rolls have to be fixed and the dead removed. Rathesburger (sp) said 1800+ people manly in Fulton and Dekalb voted twice. He announced they would not be charged. We all know that is 3600+ democrat votes were added as a result of this alone and would have put Perdue  close to 50%+1 as needed He missed by .22% +1 of the vote.  Perdue drew 220,000 less voters in the second election Ossoff drew 170,000 less votes. At the end of the day the republicans need stronger candidates and need to work on their ground game. The democrats will drive any and everyone to vote on election day and they knock on doors.

If Democrats can keep urban black people voting, the Republicans will never win another statewide election in GA.

That where the republican party needs to be. Blacks voted republican all the way up to Kennedy and then just switched. The Republican Party needs to show them what they have done for them over the course of the party's history.

If I were the Republican Party, I would go to cities Like San Francisco, Detroit, Baltimore, Austin, Los Angeles, and Oakland and just show the plight of these cities and what Liberal and Democrat government has done to them and show that the democrat party does not care for them.

But they won't. I know it's a pipe dream and the republican's will just put their head in the sand.
