Not yet, I've got one sitting here and several more coming from a RocketHub project, haven't had the time to mess with it. Working on getting my Springfield Armory 1911 back working again first, just got some parts from Brownells in for that...

I just completed a polymer 80% lower. I have no idea what I am going to do with it. Maybe a dedicated .22.

I'm interested in this as well, my brother has been pushing me to get some 80% s, and I've been wondering what Id do with them really. I know they sell jig kits. Is this something I can do with basic tools at the house? (without screwing it up)

Correct No ffl reguired......probably sometime in January/Febuary time frame I'm gonna try and put together a class on doing these....IF I can get a second mill. Was looking for a CNC Knee mill to go with the Haas just for this....but a shop in California got a cease and desist letter from the BATF after doing a segment on the local news....they were letting people clamp it in the jig on a cnc , hit cycle start and take it home........and had a line around the block......dumb people poking the bear.............
If you do go drill press......or any method....drill the pin holes and the safety hole FIRST........trying to drill them after the pocket is cut out can be challenging with out proper tooling and very smooth sideds in the pocket. |

Yeah, I did two. It was fun but the lack of decent anodizing left the material weak around the pin holes and they eventually started to open up causing escapement issues.
