I came across a Springfield 1873 trapdoor rifle I was @ an estate sale here in McDonough and picked it up for 100 bucks it is in good shape for a rifle of it's age. I dont know much about it yet can anybody put a value on it ?

Depends on conditon. About three years ago, I paid $1k for an 1879 in excellent condition with a very nice shiny bore, bayonet, sheath, and 1906 leather sling.  Usually an 1873 or an 1879 (which btw is marked 1873), goes for $600-1,100 depending of course on condition.  Median price is $750-800.

For $100, you stole it.  Post pics.
