The Butts County Sheriff's Office is holding a free pistol class on March 26.  The class is free and will cover the basics including Georgia's concealed weapons laws (their language not mine) and use of force.  A background check will be required to attend the class so I would contact the SO a least a few days before the class..

I have nothing to do with this class, but it may be good for a beginners or ladies.
