I'm going to order a BFL sticker forthe rear window of my truck. I may also get one to put on my magwell like some of the ARs I've seen in photos here.

How durable are they? Will they hold up in actual use or are they better suited for wallhangers (or staged photos)?

Will they turn into a gooey, sticky mess when they get oil or grease on them?

Would I need to get several so I can replace them frequently?

I think it will start a trend of happier shooters who are less likely to drive slow in the left lane on the way home.

(Okay, serious post.  I have no experience with putting stickers on my weapons, but you will want to degrease the area really well first.  I like brake cleaner when I am painting a rifle.  Best of luck.)

I'll take ten in pink

I don't personally add stickers to my rifles,  but if you want to;  clean the area with with alcohol real good before you stick it on.  If you try to stick it on a couple of years of CLP,   it ain't gonna be there too long.

You may have gotten a static cling version instead of a sticker version. There was a foul-up and threads about this a while ago.

Or you peeled the wrong side first, but it couldn't have bben that.

Marky, how much you charging for Mr Happyboltface logo?

Are you limited to only doing them on AR's? Im thinking that I need one on my sniper rifle.

Since the original post was asking how to get it to stick, are you going to finish it up with an AAR so we all know?

Not much to tell . . . yet.

Cleaned the area with an alcohol wipe
Heated the area with a hair dryer until hot to the touch
Applied the decal, giving it a good rubdown before peeling the overlay

Just put it on yesterday, so I haven't had a chance to shoot (or clean) the AR.

Long-term durability still remains to be seen. I don't really baby this carbine, but I certainly don't abuse it either. I keep it clean and handle it with reasonable care.

I did get some spare 1" decals, and will probably order a few more when I see what other sizes I use the most out of the assortment I bought. These small decals are cheap so unless it gets to be a constant PITA I'll just replace the decal when it gets to looking rough.

I think the next item on the agenda may be some white fill for the logo and lettering on the other side of the magwell.
