In the state of GA. is it legal to hunt deer with a scoped muzzleloader? (some states are open sites only)

Also - I've noticed allot of online sellers advertise they'll only ship to FFL  -  A muzzle loader didn't use to have to go through an FFL  -  Whats the deal?

you can buy one at wal-mart!  I highly recommend the .45 instead of .50  much better ballistic coefficient and longer range.

Page 7 of the Georgia hunting regulations,

"Muzzleloaders: .44-cal. or larger, or muzzleloading shotguns 20 gauge or larger.
Scopes are legal."

So, is Page 7 of the Hunting Regulations including "Primitive Weapons Week" or not?  I do know that I was at the range yesterday, and a guy was there sighting in his scoped muzzleloader.  He acted as if scoping a muzzleloader was something new in GA.

Damn!  Thanks for the update.  Scope = primitive weapon?

yes I always thought it funny an inline ignition, 204 primered, pellet powder, magnum load, jacketed hollow point, rifled barrel, accurate to beyond 200 yards, and now scoped weapon was considered primitive.  Oh the irony
