You are not joking about these things being contagious.  I have a YHM Mite that will becoming home with me soon.

I already have plans for my next three cans.

I replied to your e-mail.  If you want to maybe hit Creekside this weekend, let me know.  Once you shoot with a can you'll never want to shoot without one.

Mark

I got your email sir...I have to work this weekend, but I will get up with u.

Couple of questions here:

Is the a silencer for 7.62x39?

If there is, Can you use the same silencer on an AK as you would an AR (that is chamberrd for 7.62 as well)

How effective would a silencer be on a 357sig? Would you use a regular 9mm (.355) silencer?  I have not found sub sonic 357sig ammo but that makes sence because that would defeat the purpose of the round.

Edited to fix grammer

AK's can be silenced but they are not very quiet. I believe a standard .30 cal can will work as long as you have the proper threading on the barrel.

you can use any .30 can to suppress the 7.62x39 round.  It shouldn't be a problem to mount it to anything that shoots a 7.62 bullet and has less pressure than a .308/30-06.

As for the .357, I don't think you will get very impressive results with a can.  Shooting one through a can should something like a .22lr unsuppressed.  Still should be hearing safe with a good can though.

A couple things to thnik about with a pistol chambered in 357SIG.

first, most that I know of can be converted to 40S&W with a drop in barrel, so, depending on the pistol, you could get an EVO 40 and 40S&W barrel.

I have a .40 barrel for it too. Any idea what the sound level for each would be?

Also since the 357sig is just a 9mm bullet shoved into a necked down .40 case can you use a 9mm suppressor one the 357sig?
