I posted this in the survival forum, but did not get much help.

I am looking to either buy or fabricate a sturdy long gun/storage box that will fit behind my rear seats in my truck. DuHa makes a plastic box that is the basis for my search. It is around $150 and does not look very sturdy. I would like something made out of steel/metal so I can secure it better to the truck.

Does anyone have or has seen such a box? Pictures and dimensions from those who have fabricated one would be a big help as well.

I've got one in my Avalanche and love it. They make a box that goes under the rear seats of Cherolet and GMC trucks that appear to be awesome.
