If you decide to build your own, I can help.  I just put 2 together last week, I machined the internals and even parkerized them.  I don't charge for helping either, I don't do this as a business, this is my hobby.  I do accept donations for items used in my shop though.  Anyhow here is a couple of pics (I'm not advertising, just a proud daddy).  You avoid a lot work buying one prebuilt, but you learn more building it.  Keep in mind these guns can be picky.  I took mine out last Tuesday with some guys from work and was happy to be able to rapid fire 20-30 rounds before having to manually recharge the bolt where it didn't extract the rds from the links.  Yesterday while out with bookhound it wouldn't shoot more than 4 rounds and I had to manually cycle the bolt.  I still don't know what changed.  I'll figure it out though.  Either way you go, you better buy about 2000 rds of ammo now.  Slap_shot maybe you can help me figure mine out, questions inbound in email.

CDNN has them in their catalog for $999.99 or 1189.99 w/ the A6 conversion.

I have no idea if that is a good price.  I bought my AR from them, and will probably be buying a G19 soon.  

not  to dump on CDNN, but they sell ohio rapid fire built guns.  they are known to cut corners on the cosmetics and use a lesser quality sear and trigger setup.  john mcguire uses the best sear and trigger, by karma metal products. i use that as well.  as said above if you build yours as i did, you will be intimately familiar with its inner workings and will always be very proud of your own build.  i farmed out the machining and parking, since i dont have the equipment.  www.1919a4.com has answers to all your questions.  there was a post today by a guy selling the kit, the karma trigger and sear, and doing all the machning for you for only $475.  hard to beat that. then you just need rivets and a plate and park it.  

as for some of the builds not cycling 100%, there are a lot of variables to eliminate, but you can get them to run. i am pretty sure you will run into that with a orf build anyhow.  if anybody wants, im or email me. i would be happy to offer my advise.  a word of caution- if you thought black rifle disease was bad, wait till browning mg disease sets in

Q: since both guns were running fine, then proceeded to have problems after several hundred rounds, could the problem be due to the recoil boost/inertial barrel system getting gummed up?  I know you guys clean these things with your personal toothbrush, but it seems like it's losing [not loosing] power from the recoil cycle.

After seeing the way Bookhound was spraying around the dry lube, I was wondering if dry-lubing the links prior to loading them would help.  Also, how do tell if the links are too grippy?

I got a deal working on a ORF A6 one, I thought they were considered a good builder since they did some seak's and stuff, whats wrong with their 1919's, cause I got one on the way.

I just responded to your other post too...If you don't like the trigger/sear, just buy a new kmp one...

LOL, speedfreak955 your crazy , I just gleen what info. I can off the the net, figure out what works for me, and pass the info. along to help someone else if I can.  I did get my 1919 running like a champ, what a blast.  Now I am going to design and make a crankfire adapter.  Too bad all the surplus pakistani .308 is gone, now I either need to buy some south african, or buy the barrel and parts to use the 8mm I have stockpiled.

I was over at a build party in AL with a bunch of machinists...All of them were very impressed with the Crankfire and said they's have to make 100 to come close it it being worth the time and money...The concensus was they could make linkers, tripod adapters etc. in 1/10 the time and sell them to cover the crankfire...

Yes My 1919 was a ORF and I sold it to Beer Slayer.....he solved all the problems......I do know of a buddy of mine that has a great one that he is wanting to sell......and I mean its a really nice one .....send me an IM and I can give you some info
