Guys I looked closer at my mags when I got off work. They're all new. There are about 10 HK marked with dates from 82-90, a couple HK 76-79, about 20 Rheinmetal from 62-69, 5 Koenig 66-69, 1 FMP from 69 and the rest were HK from 63 to 69. Three have heavy cosmoline and will need some cleaning, but the rest-other 47 are new, never inserted, no dents at all, only light marks from other mags when packed for shipping.
I am seriously considering dropping more cash on these for a rainy day. I honestly don't think it's a matter of if the Libs will push a new ban, but when.
I got in to HK's when I was paying $25 for banged up dented, spray painted alloys and glad to have them, and thought I was getting a good deal when I found steel mags for under $50 each.
My rifle will go to my son some day, and he'll have all the mags he could need. Now, to get a spare parts kit or two in good useable shape.
