ETA: Known a few people from Acworth, I wouldn't be surprised if they found 3 or 4 different caliber bullets in the guy's body fired from different guns from different angles.

I saw him interviewed on the news tonight. He's had training. The following statements were all I heard from him:
I saw the woman in the vehicle in a violent altercation with the man.
I'm pretty shaken up. I shot and killed a man.
Here's the clincher:
I saw the gun and was in fear for my life.

Sound like anybody we know?

If that shit happened everyday people would think twice about assualting others. You have the inherent right to self defense and the defense of others. I mean think about it its legal to shoot someone for carjacking you, Why cant you shoot someone for carjacking someone else. I know I know it would get out of hand and people would be shooting other people for no reason but sounds good in theory. Some old west justice.

I've got $10 that says our local boy has been to a Hackathorn class. Ken always makes the class repeat after him, "I was in fear for my life." And then something like, "I have been traumatized by this event and don't feel like talking about it."

Our shooter did good. I'd like to buy that man a beer and a box of ammo (not to be used at the same time

).

Too bad the woman died in the accident.

Doubt that he's an alumni of this instructor. The statement is a standard phrase taught by just about every tactical shooting instructor way back from Jeff Cooper to Massad Ayoob, John Farnam and a host of others.

I got to wondering about the legal implications today. Do the good samaritan laws cover this type of event? If the good samaritan had accidentally shot and killed another innocent in the middle of this gunfight, will charges be brought up against him? If not, can civil action be taken against him?

I think we should petition the state to give him a medal of some sort. That would send a hell of a message tot he rest of the scum in the state and maybe even country. If nothing else we should get together and throw him a party.....at the range
