I have about a pound + that I need to get rid of as well.
Anyone have a creative (legal) way to get rid of it?? Thanks in advance. |

Smokeless gunpowder is an excellent fertilizer. Spread it out on your lawn.
The pyrodex is flammable. Just burn it. |

Thats what I do. When I pull ammo apart I usually just throw it out in the yard. By morning it's totally useless. |

I always pour it (smokeless powder) into small piles or into a skinny line on a rock wall or on the driveway away from anything that could catch on fire. I then light it and watch it burn. Just don't make a big pile or the flame will get kinda high.

PVC pipe+
Broom stick + car board+ cannon fuse= BIG bottle rocket!  I'd have a hard time not burning it. |

spread in the dirt and torch it, doesn't explode, makes a nice flame and lotsa smoke though

I used to pour small quantities of power on my concrete driveway and torch it, smokeless powder burns HOT! I'd whip out a bunch of ammo, run out of bullets or powder and decide to switch to another powder, so I'd have an ounce or two leftover to torch. |
