I went in there this evening for the first time. I went into the bar to order some food to go. I was pleasantly surprised at the bumper stickers they had stuck to the cabinets behind the bar.
"We support the right of victims....................to shoot back" "Happiness is a belt fed weapon" and so on. I asked the bartender if they really believed that stuff and he said "hell yeah". So, if you are in Winder, stop by and patronize those folks. Hell, they even had an IMSA sticker. That is the sanctioning body for the American Lemans Series and y'all know that I work corners for IMSA, SCCA, and GrandAm races. My first trip into Loco's and love it already.

I've had a meal or three in there. Few beers too. Good place. They have great food and good service. Never really paid attention to the stickers, but it just makes me like them more.

We go to Loco's on a semi regular basis for lunch. I will check out the bar area next time. There are two in the downtown area we go to.

Ever have their chili-cheese fries? Oh, man! With a couple or five beers.
Of course, the down side is all the farting after the meal.

Actually, I eat food like that very rarely now. I've lost 26 pounds since January 24th and I'm trying to drop a few more. Same for the beer. I stick to rum and only consume two nights a week maximum.
So, I don't fart as bad as I used to fart.

I'm over in Braselton, between 211 (Chateau Elan) and Hwy 53. We go to Winder a pretty good bit.
DvlDog, I'm also a programmer. Good idea about getting together sometime. kblagg is just up the road in Athens. There are a few other guys up this way too. |

Sorry, HIJACK!! Good for you Bookhound, keep it coming off. I have lost 60lbs myself and I'm getting into my own 32's now, didn't think that would EVER happen! My wife and I started 4 months ago and she's down to 116lbs from 130lbs and I am down to 177lbs from 237lbs. Good job!
