I've been thinking a lot lately about possibly starting up a shooting/gun club at UGA, since thats where I go to school.   Just wondering your opinions on doing something of that nature.  I think it would be a good way to get younger people as myself more involved in the sport.  As well as promote safe handling of firearms.  Only drawback is I wouldn't know where to start to get it started.  I would probably need some help from a few of the people on here in talking to some of the school officials regarding reasons, safety, etc.  I know Bookhound lives over in Braselton, about 45 minutes away.  If i remember right, LarryG just moved to winder not too long ago.  Any suggestions would be apprecitated.  Just something Ive been thinking about and wouldnt mind trying to start it up, so we'll see what you guys have to say....

I think it's a great idea, but, like you, I wuldn't have any idea where to begin.  You might start by just bringing some classmates to a shoot.
