I am now officially ready for Sept. 13th.  The only things left to put in my lower are the takedown pin, takedown pin detent, takedown pin detent spring, buffer retainer, and buffer retainer spring, which will require the stock to be screwed in.

This is my first AR, and I'm building it from an Ameetec stripped lower and a Model 1 Sales 16" M4 kit.  I'm very impressed by how easy it is to put together a lower.

So, who's having an AWB sunset party in Atlanta?

Well, I might be having one, for the whopping 25 minutes or so to swap a barrel  Actually, there might be a big get-together, but I don't know when yet

I've got my lower similarly completed. Plus I got the telescoping stock wrench waiting to go.

Who's bringing the moly grease?

Ghost how tight was the RRA lower you got from The Gun Shop? Mine is mallet tight with two RRA and one Colt upper. This is my first brand new lower so I don't know if it will work out after a couple hundred rounds or not.

I've gotten two RRA lowers from "old smokey" and they were both very tight.  The one I still have has several hundred rounds through it and I've had no problems with Colt, RRA, or LMT uppers.  It should break in nicely.

Well, the two new lowers I got from Smokey Joe were tight...like really tight.  Its probably going to take a little work with the file on the upper to fit.

Eeek...don't do that.  Trust me they will break in.  After a couple hundred rounds, you will notice a huge improvement.
