Everything went pretty much as planned.

The only exception is that GAcop didn't have the Pro Carry 2 Stainless, he had the Pro Carry Stainless (not series 2) which is ok with me.

I have read that some folks prefer the Series 1 for quality reasons but if he had both, I probably would have gotten the Series 2 since I have done my research on the Series 2, not that much with 1.

The difference between the Series 1 and 2 is an extra firing pin safety that is totally unnecessary. Actually, Kimber is re-releasing their Series 1 design as the "Classic Series" so I have read, nice marketing Kimber.

EDITED to add: another difference is the internal extractor on the S1 vs. the external extractor on the S2

Anyhow, the action is very smooth and the trigger is like silk even before I've done any cleaning.
I also picked up a few more 8 round mags, not the 10 since I am going for stealth and not hicap.

So, all this and I'm loaded for bear so to speak. Let me get to cleaning and I'll post some pics in a few.

Congrats!  Now, have you read about recoil buffers and replacement recoil springs?  If you need more mags, the Wilson 47D mags are top notch.

Can't wait to see shoot it.

As a matter of fact, I do have a Stainless Compact that is a series 1. Hell I thought all I had left were II's. I guess I should pay better attention to the inventory. DUH

Sophomoric, at best.  The Romanian judge gives you a 3.
