I have a good friend who works in Cincinnati. He is from rural North Carolina. I would like to send him a "Southern Boy's Survival Kit" with some things typical of the south that you can't find up north. I'm thinking of food items, but I guess it could be other stuff, too. So far I have real (not instant) grits, Luzianne tea bags and Jiffy corn muffin mix. I also plan on getting some good barbecue sauce (I've lived in Cincinnati and it is impossible to find barbecue), Goo Goo Cluster candy bars, and maybe some Tupelo honey. Do you guys have any suggestions? What would you really miss if you left the south? Thanks.

boiled peanuts, pig parts.... chitins, pickled eggs, I know there is tons more, oh collard greens. Oh got to have a Dixie flag in there.
