The next Eastman gun show at the North Atlanta Trade Center is Sept 13-14. This is usually a pretty good show. Usually a few of us will get together for breakfast before the show and/or Mexican food after the show.
Anyone up for it? |
Im there dude! Gotta re-up my ammo supply. Seems taking my buddies shooting kinda dwindled the supply.
I will try to go to this one, since I had to skip the one last weekend. I'll try to see.

Per usual, I'm in on this one!

Well, I guess I will go to the show, but lunch may have to be skipped due to tight funds right now (have to allocate for ammo

That's the one thing I'm going to miss about metro Atlanta; the Eastman Norcross shows. Moved to the country, just north of Rome; and 100 miles is just a bit too far. Eastman does have shows up in Rome about 2 or 3 times a year, but I suspect I won't see as many exhibitors up here.
Oh well, on the plus side is deer hunting in the back yard, use of a GBI range on Saturdays, just beyond Hays State Prison where I work, and clean air. Have fun you guys. I'll be at the Rome show the following week. |
Ken and myself will be there count on it. Got to hoard some more ammo. Running low again.
I think I can make this one. If so, I'll hit breakfast and lunch.
Ever been to the shows in Dalton? They're pretty good. Drop me a line, I'm sure we could find a place to eat on Broad St. after the show. |
I'll do it, next time they have one up there. Didn't go to the one he had a few weeks ago, b/c I knew there was going to be one here in Rome; but hey, a chance to shoot the breeze w/a fellow AR15er makes it worth the trip |

Dunno what the full plans are yet. Might bring Crystal and Mamma Jo along, but we would be heading out to Bamma to the Unclaimed Baggage store after the show.

Well, I just bought Bradd's NEW upper from him, so money will be a little tight. Then again, if you can find me a deal on the new Beretta Storm, I'm all over it.
What about that 1911 for you? Baer, Kimber, Wilson or Brown? Maybe even an SA TRP? ARH |

That's what I'm looking for, or another SAR1. ~ s0ulzer0 |

Okay, the show Saturday starts at 09:00. Those of us meeting for breakfast usually meet at the Shoney's off Indian Trail at 08:00.
Mexican food for lunch at the See you guys Saturday. |
Ill be there, gonna be one of my last big ammo buys for awhile...gonna be going part time work full time school soon..
I'm in town for two weeks so I'll definitely make it (funny how trips just happen to come up during gun shows, isn't it?). I usually head for the back to do my buying, and I've found that the people who have only one or two tables have a lot better merchandise and are easier to deal with (more hobby guys than those making a living at it). Picked up a Colt upper from a guy last show here who was on the right side close to the back--great price, and he even checked my headspace (for free!) for the bolt I bought elsewhere. I'm looking for a 16" M4 upper this time (can't see being stuck with a 14 1/2" and a permanent f/h....) And a couple of hi-caps for my Para Ord 45. And some 45 ammo. And.... |
Well, it looks as if I can't go to the show this weekend, seeing as my car is dead, once again. Have fun, guys.

Question for you Atlanta guys and the Eastman show.
The last few shows I have been to up in Atlanta have had virtually no 5.56mm ammo. Plenty of Ruskie 7.62 and 5.45 (or whatever that commie cart is) but no Q3131 or real M193. Am I just arriving after y'all leave, or is the stuff well hidden? I agree with the previous post about the smaller tables, seems like most the full time dealers want full retail with no warranty, or return. I really need some ammo and a few tiny parts, but not sure it is worth 4 hours of driving. BTW, where can I find info on the CE range? ar-wrench |
Not sure about your ammo question, I do need to pick some up, mabye the next show.
Regarding CE, it is about 50 miles east of Downtown(midtown) Atlanta. Most of the CE shoot threads should have a map and or directions. If you google Charlie Elliot Wildlife you should find something. I don't have any links right now. I have noticed the WMA's are not very documented on the web. Lemme know if you need particulars. Gun Show Guys...I won't be there at 9, I will try to be there by 10:30ish. I will give BookHound a call when I get close to find you guys. ByteTheBullet (-: |

I got home late from Columbus and won't make breakfast. I'll be at the show at 09:00 at the front. I'll be wearing khaki BDU shorts and a grey shirt that says "Stupid people do have feelings. They're just too dumb to know it."
I'm still in for lunch for sure. Cheers. Mark |
I'll be there at 9:00. See you guys tomorrow. You guys shouldn't be too hard to miss.
Scot |
Mom, Crystal, her parents and me will all be there so look for a group of 5.
You sure they're ready to meet us? |

Yeah, we haven't dated that[/t] long! I think you are going too fast, we need to slow down some. ByteTheBullet (-: |

Fun show report.
I got a REALLY brite rechargeable Pelican flashlight with help from BookHound, some .32 auto ammo, and ink on the back of my hand. I won't go into what the Mexican restaurant gave me! I saw some 29 rd glock(off brand) really cheap. Bradd_D missed out. Found out my favorite lite guy was banned for carrying at a show. Saw some neat stuff. Ummm, that's all. ByteTheBullet (-: |
Well, I was going to the show until a guy came in the store this morning with a bunch of Colt and Simmonds 20 rnd mags. I spent a little on those for $10 each. Just lucky I guess.
well I have to say I lost weight today at the show not from all the walking but the vendors helped lightening the wallet. Ken and I slit a 1000 7.62x39 and 1000 .223 I bought a can og the Indian .308 it was dated 1997, does anyone have any remarkes about this stuff? I picked up a new scope for my AR, 8-32x44 Simmons w/target turrets with 1/8 adj. got my vertical grip for the other AR alone with a Samco tact.light adapter. Dixie had a couple of GI mags [3 mags in GI pouch] so we bought them, they went for $45 each.Oh yea and I pick up a 1000 rounds of 30 carbine also. Plus Barney at the door wanted to check me for weapons. what a dumb ass. I walked pass him 3 times before he wanted to check me out, what a fag.
