Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Does anyone in central NC do parkerizing?

I've had no luck finding a 'smith that does parkerizing in my area. Everyone I've contacted said they don't do it and they don't know anyone who does. Some even sounded a little disdainful of parkerizing in general.

I have a 1911 that needs refinishing and I'd rather not ship it off and deal with that added expense.

Any suggestions?

There is a guy Joe Fescina in Fayetteville that does a really good job.  He has an exhibit at the local gun show.
