Take today, for instance. Showers and storms all over the place in the Eastern half of NC but SC barely gets anything.

What makes NC so damn special?

You only need to look up to see.  God colored the sky Carolina Blue because this is God's country.

The mountains.

Pushes Texas, Mississippi, Alabama wet weather into NC.

Strangely, the worst snows we get are from Georgia moving up, not west.

Mid eastern NC is dryer....unless there are hurricanes. Snow in Raleigh is much less frequent than Charlotte.
