Another vote for handgunlaw.us
They have been one of the most reliable source for current and correct info on carry laws even over some of the NC based web sites. They also have direct links to the state government sites so you can read it for yourself. Biggest thing to remember is that signs carry the weight of law. You don't have to be asked to leave before you can be changed with trespass if the area is posted no firearms and your caught carrying concealed there. |

so by my understanding church is OK as all assembly and bars and restaurants as long as I'm not drinking and they don't have signs requesting no firearms, which is a moot point since I won't patronize such places Posted Via AR15.Com Mobile |

Just be sure the church doesn't have an educational facility as part of their property. If they have a school there then the entire property is off limits even on weekends when school is out.

They do give links to the exact state ".gov" pages that give every single detail including the prior offenses that are problems as well as other more detailed legalieze. I still stand by them being one of the most current sources. They were more current on the 2013 statute changes than the state own web site was. |

I can tell you that regardless of the law, I will always carry in church.
Years ago members of my family were attacked by a gunman at a church. My cousin was shot, and her grandparents on her mother's side were shot and killed. so, yea. |

SC does have a prohibition on carrying in churches (which is part of the discussion around the Charleston shooting) but NC does not. The previous replies do point out reasons it could be prohibited to carry there, though.
Just pointing that out in case OP heard mention of it in the news. |

When I visited NC in late May, I carried in church. Made sure to check the laws beforehand.
