Anybody going?  A friend of mine tells me that this show will be pretty big (500+ tables).  I don't really need anything, except for maybe a decent Mauser 98 action for my next project?  Yeah...that's what I need!

I went to the North Atlanta show last weekend and prices were back to normal.  I saw several ARs for 700-800 range.  AKs were in the mid-400s.  Ammo prices are still crazy.  I didn't come home empty handed.

I'll be there with a few coworkers. Looking to get a lower if prices aren't ridiculous.

eta I'll be the (only) one wearing a Gators shirt.

Yea we plan on going around 10:30, my brother is looking for a Armalite AR 10. I am looking for a Mak 90, also some pieces for my AR 15 (magpul buis, stock, and lower part kit),

Anyone know if Palmetto State Armory will be there?

Wellllllllllllll I did buy an m1909 Argentine Mauser.  She was already badly cut up & sporterized so I won't feel too bad about slapping a 6.5x55 barrel on her.  And custom wooden stock, etc,.

I didn't see any real good optics though.

Surprise, surprise - I did see some Olympic Arms AR plinkers for $599.  And other AR's in the $600+ range.  So prices are coming down (woo hoo)!

I am going to try to head that way tomorrow before lunch. I haven't been to a gunshow since christmas, so I'm hoping the rediculous prices will have come back to normal.  I wouldn't mind seeing a new aug or a scar but I doubt anyone will have either for sale.

Ended up spending some money after all!
Picked up some ammo from Palmetto State Armory, a decent 3 pt sling for $25, a picatinny rail attachmentfor  $30, a $35 fore grip to put on it. I also picked up a green laser and an AR model 3 X 9 - 42 scope from Osprey even tho I think they are knock offs just like NC Star. (and now have found I can buy the scope for about $50 to $100 cheaper on the web.)

I picked up a RRA lower to complete a build for 120 from freedom arms. I saw a table with a bunch of fake ACOGS and EOTECHs. Man they were crappy. The eye relief on the Fakecogs was like 1inch. They had fake light collector tubes with no illuminated reticle. All were priced below 300. I hope nobody was suckered by those. Georgia Arms ammunition prices are still REEEDiculous. I'm glad I canceled my order with them months ago. Scammers.

After telling myself I wouldn't go back after the ridiculous prices earlier this year, I lucked up and found a couple of smoking deals today. I bought an unopened 8lb jug of WC-846 and an 8lb jug of Accurate 2230 for $150 OTD to load some .223's and .308's. I also found a brand new YHM QD flash suppressor for my .308 suppressor for $30. Guy said it's just a " piece of worthless metal " to him. Glad I went!
