Hey Folks,
I'm gonna hit the Charlotte show this sunday and wanted to try and sell one of my Bushmasters.
Since I'm from S.C., If I put a for sale sign on it and met someone that was interested in a purchase, can I as an individual sell it to him without breaking any kind of law?
Thanks in advance for any responce,
Base-Rigger

The transfer will need to be handled by an FFL.  An individual may buy a long gun across state lines from an FFL, they may sell it to an FFL across state lines.  However, it's not legal for an individual sell it to an individual across state lines.  There was a big article in the Gun List last year about folks being busted for that.  It may add 15 bucks to the cost of the transaction, but it's worth it to keep yourself out of trouble.

Dont sell it to the undercover agents that wonder the parking lot.

Good advice.

They also work inside, buying pistols without permits.  I saw a guy sell a 1911 to a couple of guys without a permit at the show in Oct.  I later saw one of the "buyers" driving the seller out of the back of the lot in back of a MCSO cruiser.   I'm guessing he got a free ride downtown.

Be careful guys.

+1 on that, do it right & don't sweat it!
Think I'm gonna take my MGI QCB upper & see if I get any hits on it.
