Hi All,
I'll be driving down to Greenville, SC visisting relatives next week. Since I live in commie NJ where the Wal-Marts don't carry ammo, I was hoping to pick some up while down there. So I guess my 2 questions are: 1) Does Wal-Mart carry ammo in SC? 2) Any restrictions for purchasing by out of state residents? Thanks!!

Don't go after 10pm at least in Greensboro, NC. I went the other night to pick up all the 9mm WWB they had and they would not sell it to me because it was 5 after 10.
Not a state law, just a stupid Walmart policy...... |

I thought it was 18 for rifle ammo, 21 for handgun ammo.

It is, I just wanted to cover all bases. Good point on the "before 10 pm" rule too.

I am over 21 (unfortunately getting older) so I guess there shouldn't be a problem. I see there is a Wal-Mart in Greenville I'll take a ride to. Pick up all the 9mm WWB and UMC .223 I can!! Whats the sales tax in SC anyways?? 6% in Jersey. |

5% in SC, 18 on rifle, 21 on pistol, no restrictions.

Actually there are several WMs in Greenville. The big stores on White Horse Rd and Woodruff Rd have good selections. WWB is available at a great price.
