She found a lump in her breast a couple days back......went and had a mamagram done and they told it appears to be cancerous. She is going in the hospital monday to get the lump along with lymph ndes removed...I am guessing she will be starting some kind of radiation treatment shortly thereafter.

My dad is a cancer survivor so I am aware that its possible to beat this and have been trying to reasssure her of that but she has not slept in several days.

Prayes inbound. I had a cancer scare a year ago that lasted three months. That was the longest three months of my life. It turned out to be nothing, thank God.

My mother was diagnosed in 1993, lumpectomy and radiation, full remission now. She got off lucky despite the painful radiation and emotional distress

The key is to take action now !!!

Sending happy thoughts her way....

***UPDATE***
Mother - in -law had lump removed along with several lymph nodes. Doctor said everything looked good. She goes back thursday for her follow up appointment and to find out about any radiation treatment that may be necessary.

She has been a trooper about the whole ordeal and seems like she is back to her normal self. I think the whole ordeal was worse on my wife and brothers-in-law.
