H18. Establish conditions regulating the use of shooting ranges located on stateowned
game lands.
Justification: This rule would establish safety and management restrictions for
shooting ranges on state-owned game lands.

Hearings are being held for public input--I do not know what conditions they are wanting to impose though.

It sounds to me like safety and management restrictions. They already have safety rules posted at Flintlock. Maybe it will have something to do enviormental safety? It could be more presence of range enforcement officers? Please let us know if you find out. I'm curious too.

REGULATIONS FOR 2006-2007 SEASONS
Effective July 1, 2006
The following changes have been approved:

12) Regulate the use of shooting ranges located on state-owned game lands.
15A NCAC 10D.0102: General Regulations Regarding Use

Uwharrie is fed land not state. But it still sux for people who use  state owned gamelands

I was wondering about that, in my game lands map it shows Flintlock Range being on game lands.

Rumored they may start charging a day use fee just like they do for the ATV trials.
