AT 11 PM EDT...0300Z...THE CENTER OF TROPICAL STORM PHILIPPE WAS
LOCATED NEAR LATITUDE 22.4 NORTH... LONGITUDE 57.0 WEST OR ABOUT
480 MILES... 775 KM... NORTHEAST OF THE LEEWARD ISLANDS.

PHILIPPE IS MOVING TOWARD THE NORTH NEAR 12 MPH ...19 KM/HR...AND
THIS GENERAL MOTION IS EXPECTED TO CONTINUE FOR THE NEXT 24 HOURS.

MAXIMUM SUSTAINED WINDS ARE NEAR  45 MPH... 75 KM/HR...WITH HIGHER
GUSTS.  NO SIGNIFICANT CHANGE IN STRENGTH IS EXPECTED DURING THE
NEXT 24 HOURS.

TROPICAL STORM FORCE WINDS EXTEND OUTWARD UP TO 105 MILES

Man,

I tell ya..it's been raining cats and dogs here in Greenville today. I called a friend of mine in Morehead City and he said that there was 7 inches of standing water in his backyard alone. I am waiting for the looters to show up! LOL

Philippe downgraded to a Tropical Storm.  Looking at the sat. picture you can't see any kind of structure to Philippe.  Rita, on the other hand, looks like a tropical system.  I hope the guys in the Gulf coast areas are getting their gear in order.
