480 MILES... 775 KM... NORTHEAST OF THE LEEWARD ISLANDS.

PHILIPPE IS MOVING TOWARD THE NORTH NEAR 12 MPH ...19 KM/HR...AND
THIS GENERAL MOTION IS EXPECTED TO CONTINUE FOR THE NEXT 24 HOURS.

MAXIMUM SUSTAINED WINDS ARE NEAR  45 MPH... 75 KM/HR...WITH HIGHER

yep...looks like i'm going to have to round up my critters and bring them indoors....shouldn't be too bad though..

Yeah, at least the NHC's models don't show it coming ashore around our area.

Stupid storm...what a day to have SDO!

Man,

I tell ya..it's been raining cats and dogs here in Greenville today. I called a friend of mine in Morehead City and he said that there was 7 inches of standing water in his backyard alone. I am waiting for the looters to show up! LOL

Philippe downgraded to a Tropical Storm.  Looking at the sat. picture you can't see any kind of structure to Philippe.  Rita, on the other hand, looks like a tropical system.  I hope the guys in the Gulf coast areas are getting their gear in order.
