Hey guys.
I'm just throwing this out here in case anyone of my Charlotte,Gastonia, or Rutherfordton brothers has a lead.
I'm getting ready to hit the job market.
Almost 10 years with current employer.
No college degree.
Have worked my way up through the company over the past 9-1/2 years from entry level order picker in an Industrial distribution Company (MROP supplier/publicly owned ) to currently integrated supply site manager of a near 2 million dollar a year site for the past 3 years.
Excel, word, and consider myself quite  PC literate.
Manage 3 people. Responsible for providing cost savings and plant process improvement savings to customer. Handling AP,AR and HR over my 3 employees.
My girl friend is helping me work on a resume now (first one I've ever had to do).
Things with current employer just not panning out as expected after this last step up 3 years ago.
If anybody has any leads or anything let me know.
It would be greatly appreciated.
I'm looking in the $30k + pay scale.
Personally I don't care if the job is in the same market. But managing and an industrial supply market is where my experience is.
Been through the whole quality process,ISO 9000 and lean mfg concepts courses too.
Not looking to relocate, would prefer to stay in the Gastonia,Charlotte, Rutherfordton area.
But if the money was right distance may not be an issue. I drive 62 miles one way now.

Sorry if the grammar is a little off tonight.
Extremely bad day and I'm just really tired right now, and not in the best of moods.
Job hunting was not something I thought I'd have to worry about.
So the grammar nazi's can leave me alone.

New DELL plant being built in southern Forsyth Co.
Or one of their suppliers they are suppose to bring in.
You sound like something they could use.

I don't know if this is something that you would be interested in. I've been doing it for about 7 1/2 years now and I love what I do. My wife is a federal employee and I have better benefits than her.

They usually hire a couple of times a year.

Inside/outside doesn't matter to me.
I'm open to any field of work.
But my experience is in warehousing, stock organization, Management.
I'm basically in outside sale now but, I actually work in the customers plant running and managing their store room for them. Handling all the purchasing, stock items and non-stock or one time purchase items.

I'll check with my buds that work at ArvinMeritor here in Rutherfordton.  They make heavy-duty truck axles and probably have a decent inventory of parts and such.   Maybe they could use someone with your exp.  I don't know if the salary will be that much though.

Times are hard around here with all the textile mills shutting down.

Scott,
Arvin has lost some business and isn't doing so well now.  They've been flip-flopping schedules and hours for the last couple of months.  So they're a no go.

But the guys that work there mentioned another "big Truck" plant in Grover (Freightliner, maybe) that is starting production of their own axles.  They may have something that will work for you.

If you're up for shooting sometime, give me an IM or email and we'll get it worked out.  I got that membership at the gun club in town, so I can shoot pretty much anytime now.
