I'm having a hell of a time finding some 5w-40 synthetic diesel oil for my truck...even the 15w-40 is hard to find. Amazon doesn't have any, none at Walmart, none at Orileys, Autozone...etc, etc....all the shelves are empty.

Anyone know where I can get some diesel oil?

Conventional. Not synthetic.  Welcome to it though.

I'm on the west side of Springfield.

In SEMO 5w40 T6 is prevalent,  15w40 T6 is impossible to find.

The local Napa has plenty of T6, they should be able to transfer some to your store if it's an Auto tire and parts Napa.

When I had a diesel I bought everything from a local Cummins shop. They did parts for semi trucks / big RVs / etc. Always had the best prices.

I noticed my local Walmart has no 5-40 syn and just a few gallons of 15-40.  Lots of empty shelf space where the diesel oil should be.  Wonder what gives?

I've heard Shell Rotella wise 2 plausible causes:

1.  Plastic jugs for the oil

2.  Additives they use in the oil

are in short supply.

Just to be clear, it was all diesel oil, not just shell.  I ended up getting some high as hell Mobil 1 at car quest.

You think that's hard to find... Try finding DexosD in 0-20W for the new GM 3.0L diesel... Dealer only at this point, after 3 years.  Found that out with my first oil change at 7k miles.

Call Heritage Petroleum (formerly Oakland Lubrication) at 4177251521, or go by their place just east of 160 on Tracker road in Nixa.
