Ammo in Stock (Page 1 of 2)

Considering how ammo availability is right now, Missouri Home Page needs a sticky of where to get that ammo.

Harrisonville (south of KC ) on 291 & 49(71 hwy) as of yesterday has some 12 gauge in different manufacturers, a few boxes of 28, 16, and some 20 gauge shotgun. No slugs, all bird shot type.

For rifles/pistols they had some 22LR and a couple boxes of 450 Bushmaster.

A bit south of Walmart on 291 and just over the bridge of Hwy71 at a store called Family Center "farm & home", they had lots of 30-30 just last week, but it was at a price of $35 for Hornady. Too pricey for me at this time of year, or I'd of picked up 5 boxes to have extra of.

Academy in Liberty has had ammo on the shelves the last few times I've been. Prices haven't changed much, and there were still limits, but they had it.

Last night, at McCarty Walmart. They keep getting more of this, but it appears that nobody wants to pay $40 for 300 rounds of .22lr.

They also had two boxes of 28ga, and two boxes of 12ga.

Bass pro in St Charles had 9mm, .40 and .45 out on the shelf this evening.

Yeah, have been for weeks. They also have had a lot of VV powder.

I paid $150 after taxes for a brick of CCI BR4 primers at Bass Pro today. Horrible.

Walmart still has all of that Power Point .22lr ammo, and one box of 12ga.

Academy in Cape has a decent amount of the usually popular calibers. Prices are still the same. I hear that Drums in Jackson still has good selection but I haven't been in to verify it for myself.

Dunns in peavley had CCI small rifle mag primers yesterday. Sorry I forgot to post.

Rural king in Farmington had several calibers in stock as well.

Academy in Liberty has plenty in stock now. The prices haven't gone down any (I don't think that will change any time soon) but they don't have a limit any more either.

Yeah, it's something new for them. Just this past week, they had lots of 450Bushmaster, 17HMR, 17m2(the 22LR in 17 caliber), 270, and more. Our Walmart also had their ammo case pretty much stocked also, which was surprising. Maybe things are coming back at a more constant availability.

That Winchester X commorative 22LR ammo needs to realize people aren't gonna buy it at the price they want. At least 1/2 the price and maybe it'll sell. The boxes are now starting to collect dust.

20+ years ago I worked at a family center store. I really enjoyed the job, the corporate team treated all employees like bank robbers though.

A couple days ago Harrisonville WalMart had plenty of Federal Automatch .22lr.  I'm impressed that it sells for a good price- $21 for 350 rounds. Haven't shot any yet but reviews seem to be good.

That's one thing I'm impressed about Walmart is that they didn't go full retard on ammo prices like most stores have done with double or even triple ammo costs when supplies dried up.

Wonder when some 410 shells will start showing up. My lil break-open Rossi needs a workout. Good thing I bought the last of the 7-8 boxes last year when Walmart had it on the shelves.

I think I only paid $35 or so for a box of that at Bass Pro. Kind of cussed myself for doing it but wanted it for my ammo collection.

Academy in Rolla and poplar bluff have a good selection of common calibers.

Lots of 9mm for $20/50 round 115 fmj. I'm letting it sit at that price, good to see it available though.

Whenever I am in Liberty and go to Academy, I rarely see anyone buying ammo, it sits there.  $630 + tax for a case of M193, you can keep it.  $10/box for Tula, no thanks.

Walmart in Harrisonville (Hwy 291N) has gotten a shipment of some centerfire rounds they didn't have until recently.  270, 308, 350L, 450B, 7.62x54. Still got lots of shotgun(no 410ga) and a decent supply of 22LR(no 22mag).

Been keeping my eye on some Rem Cor-Lokt 150gr in 30-06 and wanting some more 30-30 in 170RN or heavier (to try for accuracy) to have on hand. My 30-30 seems to like the heavier stuff, but 170RN and lighter grains seems to be most carried on store shelves. Never got to try the Hornaby Revolution to see how it shoots.

Family Center (farm & home) just south of Walmart by about 1/2 mile and over Hwy49/71 bridge, have good supply of 9mm(mostly defensive rounds), 17HMR, 17HM2, 350L, 450B and I believe I saw some 10mm, but I just did a quick glance, as I was mostly looking for 30-06 and 30-30 for my favorite hunt rifles that aren't AR's. I got plenty of rounds in lighter grain'd ammos, but they aren't as accurate, but will do in a pinch if needed.

Sounds like you're in Cass County as well.  I don't have Cor-Lokt but I have a few boxes of 150 gr Federal Power-Shok for 30-06 I could trade, if you need some.

Thanks Quantrill, but I already have a few boxes of Fed Pow'r Shok 150 and I think some 165. They shoot well, but the spread is more than I want compared to the Cor-Lokt 150's. I can do a cloverleaf(couple times anyway) with the Rem CL's, @ 100, but it's about 2" or a bit more with the Fed PS 150 and even more spread with the heavier loads. That factory Shaw barrel is really particular about what it wants. Really a great shooter in this Mossberg ATR100. Of course a very good older Nikon Buckmaster scope/Leupold rings helps to keep those rounds on target for all these years I've had it mounted.

Actually live in Johnson, but have a Cass address and go to Harrisonville for shopping as it's a few miles closer to home.

Stadium WM had quite a bit of 12 and 20 gauge yesterday along with .22 LR and a little centerfire.  Is $9.50/box of 25 really the new FJB "normal" for scattergun light loads?

$9.50 was the best I could find when I went shopping for 12 guage target loads about a month ago. That was at Academy.

I'm impressed with the reappearance of nearly everything except .38sp and .357mag.

Found some at Graf's in Mexico last week, and even some 125FMJ .38 locally.

But nothing other than plinking loads that I have seen lately.

Eagle Outdoors (Willard, MO) seems to always have 5.56 or .223 in stock, at roughly $12.49 a box. Best price I've found.
Not the good old days of $4 a box anymore, but still the least expensive around.
