From Ron Calzone
HB 85, the MO Second Amendment Preservation Act, was just assigned to the Senate General Laws committee.
It has taken that long for the Senate to "2nd Read" all the Senate bills that came before the House bills, and a number of other House bills were 2nd read today, too.
HB 85 has already passed the House, so it next must have a hearing in the Senate, where it will be voted on, and then sent to the Senate floor for a vote by the full Senate. It will have changed that the House must accept with another vote in that chamber.
Look for a hearing after next week's legislative spring break.
