My sons want to build AK's. We have built a couple AR's and have a jig to do so - happy to share as well.

Anyone here locally interested in teaching a couple eager young men how to do it?

There used to be a few guys here that could build AKs. Sadly they haven’t posted in a long time

If you wanted one built, we have a well known guy in the area in Rayville. Jebs Arms.

Best I can do.

Thank you- ideally they’d get to learn the process with someone who’s done it before. Buying one off the rack isn’t as fun as manufacturing your own, in my experience.

Milled (new made or reweld) or stamped? Mighty big difference in tools & skill set required.

AKbuilders.net is in Bleu Springs, they sell parts, jigs, and tools, but they don't build or offer any smithing services.

Jebs Arms builds good AK's in the KC area. Contact them and they will get you fixed up.

I learned how to finish lowers and build kits from watching YouTube. Same when it came to problems with dillon 650
