Not as rare as the French 1914 Hotchkiss heavy machine gun barrel that Vince is looking for, but still not common.
I’m changing my BUG (back up Gun) from a Seecamp .32 acp to a Rohrbaugh R9S Stealth 
Anyone know someone wanting to sell one? |

I know you have a specific need, but have you looked at the Sig P365 yet? Just released at the Shot Show this year.
I'm waiting for supply to catch up with demand... I refuse to pay retail or over retail for anything. |

Rohrbaugh R9S Weight - 12.8 ounces Sig P365 Width - 1.0” Rohrbaugh R9S Width - 0.83” Sig P365 Length - 5.8” Rohrbaugh R9S Length - 5.2” Sig P365 Height - 4.3” Rohrbaugh R9S Height - 3.7” In summary, the Sig P365 is too large & too heavy to be a true pocket 9mm. |

There's one in the EE but it doesn't be say "stealth" so not sure if it's what you are looking for.

The P365 feels good in my hand, but the magazine release takes it off my list.
I have to shift my grip or press the release with my left hand. It's a little too flush. |

I know that a 380 isn't a 9mm but with today's advancement in self defense ammo I have a Remington RM380 that has eaten 500 rounds of anything and everything I have fed it without one failure. I understand that Remington bought the rights of the Rohrbaugh and then came out with the RM380. Was hoping they would come out with the 9mm but with the bankruptcy I guess that is just a dream. Anyway after all that blabber the RM380 is my deep bug gun.

Well, I gave up trying to locate Rohrbaugh that wasn’t on Gunbroker
I went ahead and grabbed a Rohrbaugh R9S Stealth yesterday on Gunbroker. It set me back $1,125.00 (which is close to what it would have retailed for when new) The good news is the serial number is 60xx which places it at the very last of production before Remington bought them out, that means it has virtually all improvements and updates they made during the years of production. Already purchased a couple of boxes of Federal 9mm 150 gr HST Micro which is specifically designed for short barreled 9mm’s.

I haven't seen a Rohrbaugh for sale for a long time, so long I hadn't thought about them until this thread.
My SIL is carrying a Glock 43 for back up, along with 4 extra magazines. I think he has 6 magazines on his belt for his Glock 17. When I bought him a Leatherman I told him he needed more stuff on his duty belt. |

Well, I’ve had a chance to get some Trigger time with the Rohrbaugh R9S, it runs perfect with Federal 9mm HST Micro which is designed for short barreled 9mm’s.
I also installed a set of VZ grips for it, they are NICE! I have a Headley pocket holster on order. 
It will make a nice everyday companion to my FN FiveseveN 5.7x28 pistol. Here’s a photo I found of a Stealth with the same VZ grips I have.

Nice find!
Just chiming in... From what I gathered, Remington decided not to build the RM380 in 9mm because they couldn't solve the spring replacement issue. I have no idea if that's true but it makes sense. Remember to change your springs!

I truly feel the reason than Remington didn’t continue production is they figured out the weapon didn’t lend itself to MIM production. Remington is the largest user of MIM parts in the firearms industry. The Rohrbaugh R9 is virtually all CNC parts and is made like a Rolex. It would be difficult (impossible?) to produce them in large numbers, keep in mind in all the years of production only a little over 6,000 were produced. |
