I have a friend  that is trying to rewat a 1914 French MG.   1914 Hotchkiss heavy MG in 8mm Lebel.
I know it's a long shot but who knows.   Any leads appreciated.

Have you checked with Sarco Inc.? They usually have a good assortment of just about everything, and if they don't have it they might know where to look.
