And this is why sensible gun owners get a bad rap. I don't have a gun safe yet, but when my niece and nephew come over, they stay at the door until I put everything behind a locked door ( if any weapon is out ). I also have the only key and it stays on me until they leave.
I also feel sorry for the 5 year old. Now, he has to go through life knowing he killed someone. |

The story said "under' the bed when I first read it. Now it says "around" the bed on the guns location. Also, the gun belonged to another family member. Need to know if the mother even knew about the gun being there. Can't imagine going through something like this.
