I have the same Lyman press.

And I like standing height benches too.

If you have an Orscheln's near by, check out their livestock mats. They are about 3/4" thick and I think 4x8. You could stand on one for a bit and see if to your liking or not. A friend uses one like a exercise mat on a concrete floor.

I would like to acquire some thick padded mats upon which to stand so my tootsies don't get tired.  Harbor Freight used to offer 12"x12" (I think) "puzzle" style thick foam floor mats but now I can't find them listed.    My poor-man's mat is several layers of cardboard pallet-topper sheets.  As a bonus they're absorbent which is good since I can be messy.

ETA: I was sure to leave room for under-bench drawers as a future upgrade.  I've already got something vaguely in mind like ~15" wide plastic bins sliding on "L" brackets.

I got a bunch of the 2'X2' foam puzzle pads from Home Despot.  They're not absorbent, but I like that 'cause I take them out and power wash them once in a while.  Too bad you're on the other side of the state (I think).  I have a stack that I'm not using.

I purloined our old dining table.  I have the upper body strength to work a press while seated and not the knee endurance to stand.

Nice bench there, Eric.
